Graduation Cap & Gown

Here's my graduation cap & gown! Ill be graduating from high school on Saturday 💙

This is a screenshot taken from the very first video game I fell in love with- the Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. The visuals of the game, the music, the cartoonish art style, etc, were all things I loved about the game when I was just 8 years old. The scene depicts the main character, Link, departing from his home in order to start his adventure in saving his sister, who was kidnapped. I illustrated this bc its symbolic of my graduation, and how I feel that its a sort of embarkment away from home. The text, "This is but one of the legends of which the people speak", is the first line of dialogue in the game, and I put it as a sort of metaphor to starting my own journey. While the art on its own is definitely nowhere near my best work, Im not posting it bc of that aspect. Im posting it for it's meaning, and how I feel it parallels my own life from when I was just a little kid, and how the game has been apart of my life for these 10 years. Thanks for reading ❤
