Mermay 2021- Day 9: Spirit

Today I have my third mermaid for Mermay. My version is different from what anyone would expect from a mermaid painting, but it actually has multiple meanings- the desert in the background used to be an ocean (noted from the shipwreck behind her) and she symbolizes the spirit of the ocean and the mermaids that once lived there.
